Got her from addoption at the pound, they told me they thought she was a Great Dane mix , but having owned Great Danes in the past I dont think so. shes too small, only about 25-26 inches tall about 65-70 lbs., and just doesnt carry herself the way a Dane does.Love her to death and wouldnt give her up for anything but just curious what she might be. I think she might be A Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, possibly with a boxer maybe.she doesnt have the swirl down her back like a ridgeback but is her hair is very soft but down her spine it is courser. just doesnt swirl like a Ridgeback. |

Sally was found wandering a McDonald's parking lot in Sylvania, Ohio, and was taken in by her foster mom. I was lucky enough to see her profile on the Internet, and I was immediately taken in by her picture and her foster mom's description! Sally truly is a sweet, sweet one-of-a-kind doggy. She is about 4-5 years old, weighs 50 lbs, and thinks she's a lap dog. When she's not wrestling with her new sister, she's stretched out in her daddy's lap. We were told that she is a shepherd-lab mix. She only barks, fetches, and plays if her younger 2-year-old "sister" is in the mood. Otherwise, she lies quietly on the sofa or in someone's lap. She loves to walk and she always protects our four cats from lil' sis and from cat in-fighting. She prefers peace, but won't hesitate to take over when I'm playing with our other dog, which is the only time she plays. She truly is a sweet, quiet dog that we are extremely fortunate to have in our hearts. |

Saluda is about 4 years old. She weighs 28lbs and has a black spotted tongue. She is an incredibly fast runner and also likes to swim. While she loves to chase small animals (especially squirrels), she doesn't like playing with toys or balls. She would much rather have the real deal. Saluda is a really sweet dog, but also great at protecting her house and family. |

Sam is a very loving dog. We've had him since he was born. His mother looked like a beagle sized bloodhound. All the puppies looked like different types of dogs it was really strange. We tell everyone he is a lab mix although he looked nothing like his mother. As far as we know there was not a lab nowhere in the vicinity so it's a mystery.Sam has always been a skittish dog meaning he is very nervous around strangers. He will not ride in cars when we have to transport him he will sit in the floor and shake like he is going to have a nervous breakdown.I could'nt ask for a more loving dog as he strives to get all the attention in the house. |

I adopted Sammy from a local shelter here in Pa 2 1/2 yrs ago when he was around 5 months. I was told he was a lab/shep mix. I own 3 english labs. I also work at an animal hospital. I know there is no lab in him. I will agree with the shepherd part, I also have a suspision on the other half. I'm curious to see what others have to say. He is a wonderful dog,he puts up with his brother Emmit. Emmit is a 16 month old jack russell. Sammy is around 65lbs. Four white feet. White on his chest. A curled tail. He has a wide smile, and very prominent ears. So what do u guys think?
I have very sad news. Sammy was killed on Feb 13th 2008. He was hit by a car an killed instantly. I miss him very much, but will see him again someday. RIP, Love you woobie. |

Sammy is about 1 year 8 months at best guess and was adopted 8 months ago. He LOVES to play with his paws and whack you in the face, etc and has a unique bark/howl he does on occassion. He rarely is vocal unless someone comes over or he sees someone he doesn't like. He is about 48 lbs. Our best guess is boxer and maybe beagle or platt hound or foxhound.... but it's hard to ever know! |

my daughter bought sampson as a puppy. She was told he was a pure bread blue nose pitbull. I think he does have some pitbull in him but I think he is some kind of mix bread.
Someone sugested pitbull and Rodesion ridgeback. I know I spelled that wrong. What do you think he is? Sampson is the most gental dog ever, very sweet dog. |

Scout is an affectionate and inquisitive ball of energy. She loves wrestling with other dogs, chasing squirrels, and running with her owners. Although she is friendly to most humans, she has very strong guarding and protective instincts towards her human family. She is very smart and learns quickly, which is good when she's learning a new command but not so good when she figures out how to escape from a crate or destroys something out of boredom.
Her most distinguishing physical features are her curly tail, shaggy double coat, and purple tongue. She also has a deep chest and a distinct "stop" at the back of her head. |

He's almost 2 yrs old. We figure he is definately part boxer, but cannot figure the other part out. He is too short to be any of the breeds we can think of (pic of him standing is as tall as he's gotten).
Very intelligent, very lovable, likes to play, great agility, absolute lush when it comes to getting attention, aims to please, obedient, always wants to be where we are, loves car rides, doesn't dig, doesn't chew, only barks when playing or someone knocks on the door - great watch dog, not rough, can be a little shy but warms up quickly. |

This is my big teddy bear of a dog, Seamus. He's now 7 years old and weighs in at about 34 kg. As a puppy his coat had much more of a brindle appearance than it does now, with more tan and grey showing. As he matured, he developed a long, black, slightly kinky outer coat and a thick grey undercoat. The fur on his head and torso is soft and silky, but the fur on his back legs and tail is coarse and slightly wiry. He has the most soft, soulful, beautiful amber eyes I've ever seen. The shelter I adopted him from called him a spaniel mix, but I don't think that's right at all. Nobody can seem to pin down what breeds he may come from. I've heard suggestions ranging from Irish Wolfhound to collie to shepherd to retriever. |

We adopted Seamus from an animal shelter in a neighbouring city on September 23rd, 2006.
Seamus is about one year old and was listed as a Sheltie/Pomeranian mix when we adopted him, however we suspect that he may be a Papillon/Pomeranian mix. His breed mix is really a guess to everyone. He's about 11 lbs. |

Sedona is three years old. I know that she is at least part Australian Shepherd. She has a very fluffy tail that can hang like a German Shepherd’s (low and slightly curled up) or like a Husky’s (curled on to her back). I suppose it has to do with her mood at the moment. She has fairly strong herding instincts. She’s very fast and agile. She has a very high prey drive. She’s smart and listens well when she wants too. She does well by herself. She is cautious of strangers, both humans and dogs. I included a photo of her when she was a puppy in case that may help. She likes to “play rough.” She loves to chase and be chased. She’s always loved the water; she would play in rain puddles as a pup. She weighs 50lbs and is about 22 inches from floor to withers and 33 inches from butt to nose. Each of her eyes is both blue and brown. She has black on the inside of her mouth, but not on her tounge. She also has some black spots on her skin. As a pup her nose was marbled but now it's all black. You can still see pink if you look in her nostril though. Her coat is fairly long, but not fluffy. It's sleak. |

This stray dog followed me home and wouldn't leave. Poor thing was very sickly. He's doing great now. Shadow weighs 70 pounds and has a beautiful shiny coat of fur. Although he was a stray he was 100% housebroken from day one. He is very patient and TOLERANT with my active two year old. Favorite activities, napping and long walks on his leash. Loves the outdoors and snow. Awesome dog!!! |

We adopted Shiloh from a local shelter in March '09. She is around 10 months old and weighs about 50lbs now. They described her as being a "rottie mix" but didn't have any info on her mom or dad. The vet that we currently use disagrees with this assessment and believes that she has German Shepherd in her based on her coat which has a lighter color underneath the black. I think she is probably a doberman mix. |

We adopted Shirley a little over 3 years ago. She was the member of a foster family. She is shy and timid but has gotten better over the years since we've exposed her to more people than she once was used to. She is supposedly around 9 to 10 years old and weighs around 26 pounds. |

She is a very loving dog. We have had her since January of 2006 and it didn't take long for her to get big. She was a chubby pup when we got her and now she is a big chewing machine...lol. We got her as a stray at an aunt's house and as far as we know, her mother is shepard, but we don't know what else she has in her. We are still trying to find out. The area we found her is populated with quite a bit of coyote. She has come a long way. |
